Dementia

Dividing my time,many times over the years, I have written notes on how I would like to divide my time.Getting closer to realizing this objective.I have made time for my walking and my writing ,sleeping and work seems to take care of them selves.Haven't yet found the space for dedicating a hour a day on guitar playing.I have left a guitar in the special care unit at work and when I work up there on Thursday and Friday evenings, I often get the chance to play.I have no idea, who named the dementia wing ...SCU...sounds more like an American crime program.Special care unit, don't really know about the unit part and not really sold on the special care either.It was designed to suit the needs of those diagnosed and living with dementia, somewhere along the line , some one in a position of power wasn't comfortable with the dementia label and decided that special care was more appropriate...The D word, dementia, lets not mention it or lets call it something else..It's not a

Head and Heart

When we do things for the sake of convenience, it always has a way of showing us that walking that extra mile or two can really bring to us to a point of peace .I t's like you go into a convenience store.....what you get in there is not really what you want, but you are willing to buy something close to what you want.I've made a few lifestyle choices for the sake of convenience and I have had the realization that convenience is really about not honouring yourself .When you go out of your way into a method of inconvenience then you will find yourself following your heart rather than your mind!Convenience is mind stuff. Inconvenience is heart stuff.Why would it be otherwise, the mind thrives on the habits of convenience, the known, the container and retainer of our stuff. the mind has everything on hand, it doesn't have to search far for outcomes.

In search of the perfect pesto.

The Casa Luna was the restaurant that introduced and seduced me into the taste of pumpkin Ravoli with Pesto.I have been going there for the last eighteen years.It was always the kind of place that didn't require a menu, I was going there to eat pumpkin ravoli with pesto, it always came with the complimentary crusty Italian bread,just so you could soak up the left over pesto sauce!I am a lover of pesto and pasta, and it all started at the Casa Luna back in 1993. I have been back in Ubud about 4/5 days now and today was the day I decided to have lunch at the Casa Luna. Next door to where I am staying is the "The Sagittaruis Restaurant " It has pumpkin ravoli and pesto on the menu,and I found out on my last visit that it was kind of poached from the Casa Luna,with a few other dishes too, which gives the Sagittaruis Inn a great menu and g
