I don't believe in learning lessons

I'm not really sure I subscribe to the notion that we are here to learn lessons."I hope that's taught you a lesson" was the usual comment my parents made after I had been punished in some way for not doing what I was told.I came from the era of parenting that spanned the fifties and sixties, sometimes quite harsh, but in keeping with the times.I am only glad my parents both changed with the times.By the time I was a teenager,I had the edge over them, they were getting older and I was losing my self in music and growing my hair. The seventies were special, maybe I grew into who
I was gonna be in that decade. It was a perfect launching pad for becoming the person I grew to be.
