Easy Riders

On a beautiful spring day in Amsterdam, cycling through Vondel Park.I snapshot this picture.Every country has it's laws and rules. In Western Australia it is compulsory to wear a helmet while riding a bicycle. The Police can stop you, give you a warning and issue you with a fifty dollar fine ,depending on their mood. Either way you  would have to push your bicycle the rest of the way with the police keeping a close eye on you.It does tend to take the joy out of riding, somehow you don't feel quite as  free wearing a helmet.
I love the Dutch system, the freedom to express yourself, without the worry minded establishment busily imposing rules and regulations that can take the joy out of such a simple pleasure.Riding a bicycle in Amsterdam is great fun!
